Looking at Victor's bass, here's an idea for RIC. If checkerboard binding is too expensive, maybe RIC can offer double binding (black inside, white outer strip) as an option. It would look really cool on Mapleglo. They did a few examples like that, we've seen a couple on eBay in the past year or two, in Jetglo IIRC.
