New fenderbird with Ric pickups 4-2-5

Post by jwr2 »

here is my latest project ... the body is alder with a flamed maple top ... sort of reverse t-bird shaped with a maple p-bass neck ... it will eventually have 5 strings and an oil finish ... I am undecided wether to use 2 or 3 pickups ... I set the neck deep enough into the body so it fits in a normal case ... and I cut away the lower horn a little like the exploiter basses ...

Very cool! I like the HB's in there. Should be great when finished. are those vintage RIC knobs too?

Sweet, Jeff. Looks a bit more comfortable to play sitting down than your other Fenderbirds.

The biggest problem with the other 2 fenderbirds is trying to find a case or gig bag they will fit in ... this one here fits in a normal case ...
