Yes, this bass is very ugly. None of you want it.

yes the 2000 series basses are ugly ... you really want a 77 4001 ... these aren't the droids you're looking for

I really like ugly basses myself. Especially my ugly brown walnut Cheyenne. The 2020 would be a nice companion

I think they are pretty cool....especially Paul's picture...maybe the 3001 needs a sibling.

I find them...quirky. I hated them with a passion at first but I have to say they've grown on me a bit. Especially Paul B's, with the bound body and maple fretboard.

If one came up for the right price, I wouldn't mind buying it.

The 2050 El Dorado looked nice in the catalog.

That's the one I like - the 2060 as well, with the small pickguard and the maple fretboard.

And the 2030GF Glen Frey model didn't look too bad either:

Todd, did you cut down the body or start from new? It looks very nice.

Ken, the new body was built from scratch. I didn't want to lose the opportunity to put the bass back together as it originally was, just in case the new one didn't work out.

Ric could make a bass based on the 2000 series technology and give it a 4005 body shape ... they could use off the shelf parts and very little R & D ... it would be modern and retro ...
