Oh. Again!!!! The headstock says it's a Fender, and i wonder how could he read it as "Rickenbacker"?
Q: Is this a never before seen model? I've never seen a Ric with that body styling.....

Q: Yeah, I have a question for you. Did you know your ad states this bass is a Ric, when even in your photos it clearly says it was made by Fender. I'm sorry to burst your bubble however Ric and Fender are two very different companies. Also just an FYI Ric never made a bass in Midnight Red. Thanks

"We only sell high quality Chinese antiques..."

Perhaps Adolph Rickenbacker (or Leo) did a stint in the orient after the war and it is a forgotton chapter in RIC history!

It states it's in China, yet the statue is clearly not Chinese (it looks a Hindu statue . . .), the background is of the Buddha, and there are those wheels turning (which leads me to think India again, as the wheel is present on their flag) . . . what the heck are they thinking?

Do they even think?...
A Rickenbacker bass is much like the Jaguar E car - perennially ultra-fashionable.

Actually, it's all Buddhist. The emblem at the top looks Tibetan (by the writing), the mountains might be Nepal, the statue is 7-eyed Tara, a Tibetan Buddhist deity, and the wheel is the Wheel of the Dharma.

It still doesn't make any sense though! Actually, it kind of pisses me off. Free Tibet!

"the statue is 7-eyed Tara, a Tibetan Buddhist deity"

Ah. I wasn't aware of that; I know very little about the religious beliefs of Tibetan Buddhists. Buddhism is quite different every place you find it . . .
