Who is buying all these Ric's?

Post by woodsgirl »

We don't see that many performers----do we?----playing Rics, so who is buying all the Rics and waiting in line to buy more? (Partially rhetorical question, as we know that there are a few people on this forum that are personally responsible for at least 6 months of the wait!!!!) Part 2, the big question as to why more guitarists don't play Rics I know we have discussed this, but since I got my 620, now I REALLY don't get it!~!!

Oh, I dont know..I watch the one of those morning shows in the break room at work. I occasionally see Ricks. The most recent one being Pink, her bass player had a Fireglo 4003 I believe. Sounded good to.

I've noticed a couple new artists using Ricks....interestingly enough most from Europe: Franz Ferdinand, The Editors, Artic Monkeys, etc....

I was wondering if there are any up and comers playing them and WHY no one plays blues on a Ric? IF you haven't got a strat or a tele you ain;t &*(T?

Even in *my* hands the 620 sounds sweet! Thanks for reading all my goofy posts! Wow, I learned 3 songs off the new Fab Tbirds CD including some leads and fills. Just decided that I could do it if I tried! Seniors rock!

Kaia,

Not that it matters much but I play blues.

I use a 360V64 and a 350 along with my Strats (pick one) and my Les Paul. I would love to see someone famous play blues with a Rick. It would blow the lid off the notion that these guitars don't cut it. Cause I'll tell you with the right amplification they can stand tall against any Strat or LP.

Congrats on the 100 posts, and again on the lovely 620 TQ.... From another Rickaholic who is sometimes told by her husband that she needs to get a life, LOL!

BTW, he's out of town, and I spent part of the afternoon polishing a couple of Rics with Scratch-X and Zymol, and spent 3 hours this evening rehearsing with my 330/12 and a very good friend for an upcoming gig.... I'm kind of liking my life just the way it is right now! Image

It's been a wonderful day of doing what I love, and loving what I do.... Image
