Wow, sorry I stand corrected on Juststrings. They have gone up considerably. I would imagine POTR price will reflect that when they get them back in stock. They are pretty high tension too. I put a set on a 4003 and did get some slight bridge lift.

Richard, how ya liking the satin finish on that C64S? I owned one a few years ago and I must say it's the most comfortable neck I've ever played.

The tension on Pyramids was way too high. They caused considerable bridge lift on my c64 and the action shot up. They sounded incredible, but never again. I'm happy with the Chromes.

Scott thiss neck is something else. I just lovin' this thing. It's fast and comfortable. Much slimmer and faster that my '05 4003. Best $2487.21 I ever spent on anything. Paul has gotta bring this thing out of the closet, and create some more magic. Mabey for the Wings reunion.

Wings reuinion???? I brought that up before his last tour. How cool would that be?? Denny Laine back with Paul?

I'm really curious about how Paul's next cd is going to sound. I would love to hear some rocking tunes instead of what he has put out recently. Although I do still like Chaos. Hopefully he will be rejuvinated musically and more "angry"...well not angry but, considering how his marriage ended and all.

Although I would LOVE to see the Rick back I don't think it will happen live. He's too connected with the Hofner. BUT, if there WAS a Wings reunion, who knows. I'm really curious about what's next for him musically.

I'm kicking myself in the a$$ for selling my C64S. By far the best playing and sounding bass I've ever owned. I will own one again someday.

Mabey John Hall should (HINT!!!! HINT!!!) present Paul with a southpaw C64S. Mabey Paul would play it. Look at Geddy Lee and the Fender disaster. I read in Oct '05 of Bass player that he brings his "65 Rickenbacker" on tour as a back up. Well I saw him in oct at MSG but I did not see "Rickey." The last time the rick got any action was on Paul 2001 release Driving Rain's Spinning on an Axis. Pretty cool track. However this is a travesty. He need to use this bass more often. Mabey I take it more personally than others, but it seems that he has no gratitude for the bass that highlighted his best playing. It drives me crazy BRING IT OUT PAUL!!!!!!! FOR THE LOVE OF GOD!!!!!

He already has one and uses it often in the studio. But his back is bad enough that he simply can't handle the weight of it standing up during a show.

Point well taken JH. With knowledge of Maccas bad back, his choice of using the Hofner live is understandable. I've had back issues myself in the past. But it would be nice to see him pull that old 4001, or even the C64S out....if only for a few select songs.
I recently went back to playing a Rickenbacker bass. Its like meeting an old friend again

Scott, the C64S is the second best bass I ever owned only after the 4002, and I sold both. Image
I will have another C64S someday. The 4002, I doubt it, unless the pallet of 4002's are going to be the 75th anniversary bass.
Buy it before someone else does.

Bob... try to temper your "temporary" sadness (emphasis on the "temporary"...) with the knowledge that you provided me with "everlasting" glee by selling me that C64S! Image
My first bass was a Rickenbacker...
My best bass is a Rickenbacker...
My last bass may very well be a Rickenbacker

Your right Al. I'm sure glad it went to you. I know how much you love it. I just needed to whine a bit. Image

I sold a '76 4001MG back in the early 1980's for peanuts. I still whine about that every now and then.
