D'oh! It looks like Wednesday for delivery. I just checked the DHL site. I guess I can hold my breath that much longer. It gives new definition to Blue Boy. Image

Chris,
Super!!! Thanks for the pix (and thanks Stuart for your kind offer to post). We're all glad for you. A few of us are jealous (Jerry and I certainly won't be pointing any fingers), but glad nonetheless.

Don't worry John. I learned long ago that breathing was good and not breathing...not so good.

I hope so. Man, those pics of Chris's are spectacular.

Chris, is the color in the photo pretty close to the real color? I know lots of times the digital pic doesn't exactly show real life. I hope it is spot on, because that it really is a beaut.

Throw us a bone here, buddy.....

Kog et al.,
Yes the posted photos are spot on! I keep opening the case to make sure myself. With the understanding that all c63's are hand shaded, so some variation is expected, the "Ring of Fire" is not only the precise vintage color I was hoping for, but the application technique looks to be unbelievably similar as well. I used to hang out at the factory when I was 16-17, hoping a "second" would come off the line that I could afford. I'm much more pleased with this one - the last guitar I need...until 1996's come out, or maybe a 325...
I said what I said and now it's all this.

All, the c63 came today. Is really great. After fooling around with trying to attach pix, passed them to Stuart to post. Appreciate his help.

The guitar is fantastic, where to begin...
-Color: My photos will not do it justice. In natural light it has a burgundy sort of tint. Electric light really makes the red kick in. I took a picture with and without flash, but just wont be very apparent in my photos, i'm afraid.

-Action: came nicely set up by Gary, but i will be lowering action a bit more to my taste. The neck is surprisingly slim.

-String spacing: I know this has been addressed in the forums ALOT, and RIC did something about it. Had an '02 360/12 that certain open chords were impossible to play cleanly. On this guitar, open chords are no problem.

Sound: Ran it through my Super Reverb and its nice and jangly. Ran it through my AC-30 and there it was - THAT SOUND! Will have to twiddle knobs around and experiment some more.

I passed Stuart a few photos of it with a couple other guitars so you can gauge length, width, and depth. I picked a dreadnought and a Strat since just about all can relate to one if not both.

Thanks to RIC and Gary/NCM. Was worth the wait, guys, believe me!

I'll tell you one thing Jack, Gary is going to get an earful about you receiving yours before I got mine.

Congratulations and let's hope Stuart posts some shots soon.

Hey guys, sorry I'm getting to this kind of late tonight. It was a busy afternoon, and I got a new guitar today too! Image (J. Lennon '65 Casino)...

Here are Jack's pictures:

They are really big though, so when I wake up tomorrow morning, I'll resize them to something a little more managable. Until then, there they are. Another great looking guitar!

Wow, beautiful C63. Love the blood-red to scarlet fade. Simply gorgeous. Thanks for sharing, can never get enough of those pics.

Just noticed www.davesguitar.com have one in stock as well - interesting shading on that one.
