I saw it at Borders last night, but it was encased in plastic and the cover didn't mention a thing about it...so I didn't buy it.

Does the cover have a picture of Kirk Hammett?

The teaser on their website:

RICKENBACKER'S 75TH ANNIVERSARY
From the first electric guitar to the Beatles and U2, Rickenbacker has defined the bright and jangling sound of rock's best-loved groups. On the company's 75th anniversary, Guitar World celebrates an American icon with universal appeal.

I think the Kirk Hammett issue is the September issue. I saw that one the other day too. Maybe the October issue will be in stores after the 1st of August.

I've got it. Great picture of John on the opening page. They even discussed Rick basses wich kina surprised me. It also turned me on to the new Rick bassists out there. Being one myself, this article showed some long overdue respect to the Rickenbacker name. Pick it up!

Well, it says RIC plans a new line of acoustics. Somehow I don't think that's true. Maybe in 1990.
