I really hope the bass version is not just for 4003's, please make it available on the 4004's as well!

Paul, of all the pre-finishing operations at the RIC factory, adding checkerboard binding to any instrument would gum up the works more than anything else you can think of, short of custom-building a run of 4005s. So, I don't believe that is in the cards...
