Eric, I got your e-mail and replied: send me a small sample ASAP so I can help.

John: Yours is up for buffing/polishing, as soon as I finish Paul Boyer's bass.

The Capri is nearing completion. I made myself a promise that it would get one hour per day except on weekends, which are devoted entirely to customers' work.

It has been photographed at every stage. The finished guitar will be at RIC 75.

I've been a bit lax in posting (pictures and words!) lately due to the ramping up for August, where I'll be delivering a number of instruments and will also have some others on display.

Compared to this time last year (or even last month!), things are very busy. But, like RIC, I will not rush anything just to "get it done".

If anyone reading this will not be at RIC 75, I'll be posting a number of completed and in-process projects as soon as I return from the big celebration.

There's no rush, Paul. I'd just love to see some more stuff. Mine is kind of boring by comparison. Who was it who sent you a Gretsch Duojet for a refin? That'd be neat to see.

I can't make it to Ric 75 because of work commitments, so I'm counting on those who do attend for lots (and I mean LOTS) of documentation and photos.

Are you getting your own booth, Paul?

Paul, I can't wait to actually meet you and see some of your other projects live and in person! Image

Squid, thanks for keeping the thread active - I had not looked at the pictures of the bass and 350, so I'm glad you "made" me look at them! Image

Good on you John for kick starting this one again, pics have been pretty lean of late, although I understand there's only so many hours in a day.

I too am keen to see how this little Gretsch is progressing. You never know it might appear in it's glory, seeing you've asked the question.

The Gretsch is very close to assembly now. Next step will be to adapt the wiring harness...

Well, I guess Aitch answered Squid's burning question.

I want to see the Gretsch as well. I hope you bring that one with you when you come to Canada Aitch.

You mean MVP Gretsch (Brian Richman?)

...he's been MIA since buying his '55 Caddy...I think he's covering the seats with zebra skin fur this week...

So you've given up on the idea of covering the Gretsch with wallaby skin, Paul? Good..... that's one less thing I'll have to pack!

Do you still need the wombat teeth for the inlays? I'm still a couple shy of a full fretboard. Image

I thought you were converting them into fingerpicks, Aitch...
