RE: But a Herring isn't red...

They apparently turn red after being smoked.
Their strong odor was used to fool hunting dogs to follow a wrong trail.

I still think this a really cool thread...The color combos/options being tossed out there are very interesting..

I've eaten a lot of smoked herring, being Polish...

They're not red. They're silver.

And brown.

Probably would give a whole new meaning to that "Rick O' Smell"...

Rats! I think a transluscent FG over silver flake would be kind of... er... flashy!

There's definitely something fishy going on here.

Fun thread.

I love the smell of smoked herring...

My bandmate has a pearl white Mosrite with brown (tortoise shell) binding...

Definitely a nautical, watery theme...

Whoa,,,John popped my bubble. Image I was hoping for the checker binding. Oh, well.

Ok,, if its a finish, Im not even gonna speculate. But I bet they come with gold guards and TRC's with the RIC 75th Anniversary Logo.

Oh c'mon...Speculate..It's nice to hear the feedback from all of you,the people that actually own and play (or are patiently waiting for) Rick's..

Some of you have pretty creative ideas..
