You're quite right, Bob. It is a combination of things, as you put it. Though I can't possibly figure out what the problem is with the 4001 at issue. Sorry.
A Rickenbacker bass is much like the Jaguar E car - perennially ultra-fashionable.

Thanks for the suggestions guys. Just wanted to let you know I haven't left you hanging.

I work in the construction field which doesn't leave me much time for anything except work and sleep in the summer , especially when it's been so hot. Image Probably be Friday night before I get the ambition to look into the wiring.
