Gold guards and TRC look very cool on Fireglo.

Absolutely!

You can get the knobs, pickguard, and TRC (exchange) from theRIC Boutique. Mike Parks is another source. The pickguard set is also available from Pickguarian.

RIC no longer swaps white for gold.

Hi Brian -- no Bigsby for me, thanks. I'm a hardtail guy.
and Hello Paul -- so, how do I do the white/gold alchemy for the TRC?
and thanks also Ken -- would Mike have the TRC?
and yes, Kris! -- I guess it's kinda how the red fades into the wood; visually striking, the gold sorta sets off the whole shebang.

Tracy, I have gold plastic parts on several of my Fireglo Rickenbacker guitars. Great look!

Gold pickguards and oven knobs are readily available but genuine RIC gold nameplates are very difficult to find and they are getting quite expensive. They sometimes show-up on eBay and normally sell for well over $100 US. Good luck with your project.

Tracy, I have a spare set of gold parts that I put on my 350v63. The only issue is that the lower guard was based on a template of Lennon's guard, so I had to drill as few holes to match the pattern. The additional holes don't show up when I put the white parts back on. I bought two different guards so I could try out different types of gold paint. If you are interested in the gold pickguard send an email to [email protected].

Unfortunately, you'll have to buy a gold TRC from ebay or somewhere else. And yes, they do sell for a fair amount these days.

The gold looks good on the 75th anniversary color too..

You can always do the gold treatment to a raised letter TRC.
