Clive,

Silver is out as a possibility as I read the comments on this thread from those in the know.

Nice bass though.

Brian, The only colours mentioned in this thread before JH claimed someone had it exactly right were:

Silver
Diamond Jetglo (trans black over silver)
Smokey Joeglo (black to grey burst)

Unless the correct colour was mentioned in another thread?

I'm still backing silver. Why have you ruled it out?

Clive I rule it out only because of the following comment by John in response to my thought that the elusive color might be silver.

"Silver is 25th anniversary, diamond is 75th as has been pointed out a few times before. Wrong track anyway"

As Eric b stated in the Gold Appointments thread of the guitar section: "The gold looks good on the 75th anniversary color too..". This was discussing gold guards and TRC.

I wouldn't rule out red, guys. Not that I know anything, but there have been a few hints in that direction. And if you've ever seen a 4004Cii in trans red, you know it looks good with gold. [Here's where someone jumps in with a pic.....]

Nice to see someone picked that little clue up Ken :-)

Good looking Bass Clive..The thing looks like it was machined out of aluminum..Makes it look heavy! A chrome TRC would look really cool on that.

Let me clarify, just because the gold looks good with the color, doesn't mean it will necessarily come that way..That's just a combo I personally liked.

Good point. Gold trim would look strange on silver. Hmmmmm!

Well, that leaves Diamond Jetglo and Smokey Joeglo as colours mentioned prior to JH's on this thread. Maybe the answer was given on a different thread?

Eric/JH, can you steer us or are you having too much fun?

Smokey Joe and Diamond Jetglo were the same thing pretty much, no burst described in either. Not that I suggested anyway!

The answer is on this thread and mentioned in at least six posts.

Wow, now that is COOL!

I like that!

Gold would be PERFECT on that guitar!
