I know it's a long shot, but I'd compensate anybody who could get me a signed or unsigned Chris Squire Ric poster at the signing session during the big celebration. I've been looking for one for a long time!

Thanks!

I'm driving through Colorado if that counts and if I still decide to attend.

I checked with Jillian today when I booked my tickets to the Museum. Peter has not reserved a ticket. I sure would like to meet him. C'mon Peter.

He told me he had prior commitments. What a shame!

Absolutely, John! It would have been a great opportunity for all of us to thank him face to face for everything he does for us.

Sad to hear that Peter can't make it, but for those of us in education, the end of August can be an extremely busy time. As much as I'd love to stay for the Sunday night show, I MUST be back at school on the Monday. Image

Due to prior commitments, the best we came up with was HOB on Sunday, really sad that we can't attend all of the other festivities.

Good news is we are going to see Chris Squire play, thanks to Mr. Hall!

We'll see you all on Sunday

I'm arriving at Los Angeles Int'l Airport on Aug 24th (afternoon). The flight from Stockholm takes about 16 hours.
I will stay at the Doubletree Club Hotel in Santa Ana. See you there!

Take care

I am so sorry to say that I am unable to make this 75th anniversary. I have made numerous attempts to work things out but I work in "the land of dominoes." As one plan is changed so to are all of the others than depend on it. Unfortunately, I have had that week planned well in advance and this time is traditionally busy for me.

I wish that it could be different, but I will be watching and listening through your eyes and ears. While this is far from perfect it is, as an old man said to me recently, "better than nothin'."

I must say, however, that it certainly feels wonderful to see the comments of encouragement. I will certainly be there in spirit and hope that one day the fates will align such that I can meet with a good many of you that I have met on this Forum.

Peter, your presence will be missed greatly.

The confluences have definitely added a different dimension to the fellowship of this hobby. IMO you have played a pivotal role in making it a reality. It could be said that even the RIC 75th anniversary would take on a much different tone altogether if it weren't for the Forums that have sprouted up over the years. Meeting so many who post here and elsewhere that also share their love for Rickenbacker instruments has been one of the greater rewards for myself, along with what we learn on the various Forums.

We'll getcha out to one of these happenings yet. If not, we'll come to you, LOL....
