Peter...

Just throwing the thought out there, and if there is any cost involved I'm sure as members we could organize something to help make it happen. What about the idea of setting up a photo gallery/ photo album where we could upload photos and link to them from the site? It would solve any bandwidth issues while allowing all of us to show off in the most extravagant way possible... Image

I analysed the double picure on the previous page and have some observations. It looks like as long as your side by side picture doesn't exceed 640 width you won't stretch the page sideways.A good program like jpeg wizard would allow you to compress each side down to around 18K bytes each which would get you close to the forum limits for one picture. The pictures I posted were 24K and 26K, probably anything combined to make 40K and smaller isn't going to hurt the bandwidth too much(I hope).

Peter- for an experiment I went back and compressed both pics down to a combined 36K(19K+17K) and kept the combined width down to 640 pixels, which seems to keep the page from stretching sideways.

To really get an appreciation for checkered binding a have to have a big canvass(within reason)

The checkered binding is amazingly clear in that format. Mark that is great. That methodology should reduce the bandwidth concern I hope.

I love that bass. The inlays are magnificent as well.

The best of both worlds Mark. Go to the head of the class.

Bob: Your idea is an interesting one.
