But there it is Kris. Listed on a website saying that it is for sale. Does Satan really have the balls to do this if it weren't his guitar?

Has anyone confirmed the serial number?

Is their someplace that we can contact the Harrison estate to find out? Is their a webpage to contact them through?

Does anyone believe I should stop asking questions?

Here's your basic 370 jetglo:

This is one currently on ebay:

How come the second one has a different body shape where the curve straightens out before contacting the neck?

I hope that JH won't mind, but here is his post from the forum at www.rickenbacker.com on 7/28/06:

"There seems to be much controversy and misinformation about this guitar. Apparently what's being offered for sale and what's pictured are quite different instruments.

As near as I can ferret out, the guitar being offered is represented as George's second twelve-stringer, the one that was presented to him at a press conference in Minneapolis.

There's several problems with this.

First, no one knows the exact serial number of the original guitar. However, through our records were able to narrow the list down to only five possible numbers based upon shipments up to the date of the presentation. As it happens, once in the past we were once given a serial number of a guitar which had surfaced and it was one of the five (which may or may not be this particular one).

Second, there is a fairly well known admission of guilt in the theft of George's guitar which further corroborates that there might be some issues of ownership, both legal and ethical.

Anyone purchasing a guitar like this would certainly want to be assured of the provenance of the instrument and a clear title, things that might be tough to absolutely nail down under the circumstances."

I saw that Ethan. I'm not sure that clears it up.

>>that was presented to him at a press conference in Minneapolis

I thought the one given to George in Minneapolis was the 'new' rounded style 360:

That's right....B-Sharp Music in Minneapolis presented George with the 360 at the WDGY radio press conference prior to the August 21, 1965 concert. I grew up in Minneapolis and was there for the concert. My friends and I got most of our guitars and amps from B-Sharp, and they were quite proud to have pulled off such a PR coup.

COOL.... how was the concert... could you hear them much?

too bad that 360 was stolen soon after. I always thought that it's a way cooler design than the 330 style.

The concert was great. For some reason the crowd did most of their screaming between numbers, so I could actually hear the performance. I recall that John even remarked how polite the audience was, and that they could actually hear themselves play.

As far as the 360 goes, I don't recall George using it on that tour. He actually used it during the 1966 world tour, usually for "If I Needed Someone".

I had assumed that he used the 360 he had just been give at the Minneapolis concert... maybe I'm wrong about that.

The only pix of the Beatles Aug 21 1965 Minneapolis concert I can find is this one that (if accurate) shows George playing his Gretsch:

Yes, but a 12-string stands by...
for A hard day's night (he played Ticket to ride
on the Gretsch on the Ed Sullivan Show, sept 12,1965)
It looks like the old one?
