This looks like a scam to me. What do you guys and gals think. A 77 with a toaster AND a horseshoe!!!

the toaster and horseshoe were probably added after the bass was bought.

That is an early '77 with added toaster and horseshoe pickups.

The "original" owner's manual is also not right; it should be the one sheet.

Must be scam. Notice the different email addy in the description. I also notified the bidders that it is indeed not original.

"This is a totally original guitar..." is what the seller says. This auction really reeks of a scam, but maybe there's the odd chance that this guy is a dealer and is going off the line that the guy he bought it from gave him. SO much wrong with this picture. I'm glad someone gave a heads-up to the bidders.

For what it's worth, I sold a '77 4001 JG last December to a buyer who in turn parted it out on Ebay a few months later. The parts he sold included the jack plate from 1977. I'm checking my old pics to see if the serials match.

You know, forget my benefit-of-the-doubt sentiments. Anyone who says this:

"I do have a Buy it Now price and I am willing to consider serious offers."
