I have a sneaking suspicion another beloved "artist" may be one of the surprises...

This whole "Fishing," "Baited" breath, and "Hooked" thing makes me wonder... IS the "Decor" the weird Fishtail headstock on some RICs from Japan? Or maybe the 12 string Bass (fish, not instrument) posted by the webmaster over on the RIC forum?

I just read this over at the RIC forum. From JH himself.

"I wonder if the intent is an instrument made of metal, or just one that looks like chrome? The latter is relatively easy to do, just a specialized finishing technique over a standard wood instrument. Not that we're going to do something like this, mind you!"

Hmmmm....

Eric,

But the trick is using the right bait in the right place. Sometimes you need surface (superficial) lures, other times baits that bounce along the bottom (deep) other times you troll and other times you cast. We just keep switching until we get a strike!

Not that we've had much success mind you. It seems to me that most of the time, the fish just either just steal the worms or nibble at the lure enough to keep us fishing.

I'm looking forward to laughing about all this over a beer. First one's on me.

Personally, I think the big reveal will be Chris Squire and Friends who reveal the new guitar (bass) motiff - friends being Chris, Geddy, and Lemmy playing dueling basses in the new 75th motiff! No one has posited THAT yet! Wouldn't that be something!

I was talking about a Yamaha BB1200 with Fran and you said I had email. Does that ring a bell?

I just didn't want you to think I was ignoring you.

Ahh, a limited edition Lightshow. I mean, what other guitar is the world screams "awesome" like a guitar that plays as well as a Rickenbacker and looks like a lightshow?
