Touring the RIC facility
Where is the RIC facility, and do they give tours? A buddy of mine got a tour of Gibson USA while he was there, I'd love to see the RIC folks in action. Any comments?

I'm pretty sure that RIC's website has a "virtual" tour and I know there have been extensive "tour" articles published in the relatively recent past in several magazines. Still, not the same as being there and smelling the sawdust!
Since RIC is running at capacity and not keeping up, I think I would rather have the body it would take as tour guide be working on getting instruments out...

I work only about a mile and a half from the RIC plant, 'around the corner' in Costa Mesa, so it's a good thing they don't give tours - I'd be over there all the time!
Now then, if Mr. Hall wanted to personally see my all original 1993 370/12v64 FG, I'd be glad to bring it by some time...
Note that my Olympus D400Z does NOT do a good job at rendering red; the guitar isn't as brown as the picture makes it look.
