Just picked up a Fender Strat, 1986 model with 2 humbuckers, black with matching headstock.
Previous owner had 4 stickers on it. (shudders)
I got them all off, but wanted to see if there was any trick to making sure ALL of the residue comes off? Is this a Scratch-X job?

Steve since you have been advised to throw it away just send it here and I will throw it in the dumpster for you. It's a dirty job but I am up for the task.
On second thoughts, is it a Japanese Fender? It sure sounds like it could be one. If it is, I could probably save it for you.

It's a MIJ, 2 humbucker model. Actually got her pretty well cleaned up, it had a goodly amount of general grime on it, now it is sparkling! My roommate asked me if that was a different guitar, I said, nope, same one I was working on earlier! Diapers, Scratch-X, Naptha, and Zymol. Now a little electronics work (replacing a 3-position switch and a pickup spring /screw) and it'll be all ready to rock again!
