Looking to trade my black on black 4003

Post by thinneckrick »

Anyone out there got a ricky for trade with a thin neck profile ? I just put my black on black 2001 Rick 4003 on the bay but i would rather trade it . It has the bigger neck profile wich i just cant get used too. everything else on this bass is killer . Tone ,neck is dead straight but the ball bat i cant handle . its in mint shape and has all the original parts an case candy . Also a brand new black hipshot bridge installed on it .

So that's your bass... I saw it on eBay and thought, what a cool looking Ric. But I blew all my GAS money on this, so no new Rics for me, at least for now... Did I mention this bass looks awesome? Image

Thanks Bob, I did that to make it easier to navigate without having the mile long gear page.

Hey, Ilan, nice old Gibson. Made right here in the 'Zoo, too. I'm having supper with someone who probably had something to do with the finish work on that one. He's 91 now - used to do some of the finishing and also retouching for Gibson. His basement has a 10 foot shelf of exotic wood pieces he salvaged over the years.

Jeff - Have you considered having one of the many competent luthiers here slim down the neck on your bass so you can have your black on black and eat it too? (play it, whatever...)

Hey... I think you're right. I think I saw it a long time ago as a double feature with 'Dark Load' starring Long Dong Silver as the pimp of the laundromat.
