Is that headstock "right" for it to mimic a 1966?

I always thought Fender specifically named their reissues and relics with only the last two digits of the year that the model supposedly mimics, to avoid confusion with genuine vintage guitars. Generally a guitar described as a '66 Stratocaster would be a modern Fender reissue, where as a 1966 Stratocaster should be the real deal.

The Fender neck stamp reads "66 Strat". No mention of "1966", and despite what the certificate says, I think there's a hell of a big difference - like a 39 year difference!

That's some twisted marketspeak Fender's using there, and guaranteed to confuse the uninitiated--like yours truly.
