Howard: Who? Me? As you can tell, I like the Rose-Morris reissues. I just sent in my deposit for an Amberglo 1996. My 1997 FG has a few chips and scratches from a previous owner. I may one day get it refinished Amberglo, add an Accent vibrato and another pick-up to convert it into a 1998.
John: If it makes you feel any better, I finally got the JG for $899 from GCrep (after buying the 1997 FG from GCrep for $1199), because it had no case. Luckily in the past few weeks I got a black tolex case from a Forum member. The guitar has a lot of nicks, scratches, fretwear, and upper guard isn't correct. It's my 'player' right now. Eventually, I'd like to get it refinished. I'm personally haunted by a mint 1997 MG that sold cheap on eBay last year. I figured it would be jump in price with an eSnipe battle at the end, but it didn't. I can't recall the final price, but it was very low (less than $1000). Yipes!

I've learned so much in the last couple of days reading the forum and was originally thinking that the only way I was going to get a Morris "F" hole 330 type Rick was a Pete Townsend Limited or an original 60's -
But, now, I see there were quite a few out in the late eighties into the ninties....
Thanks for sharing the great pics,

I don~t have pics of mine handy, but I have a ~99 1997 reissue which I converted to a 1998 in an afternoon, with a third pickup and an Accent.
It~s FG right now, but will eventually be Amber Maple Glow with gold guards and TRC.

Hey Paul,
I bet a 90's 1997 reissue won't be as much as an original 60's or a Limited addition Pete Townsend and then I would get an "F" hole 330 style and probably add the third PU as you plan to do.
I'm converting my 81' 330 FG (which is really ambered):

that has the vintage style smaller headstock with vintage tuners to: toaster tops with vintage knobs. I may go ahead and swap out the "R" bridge to a vintage style trapeze but then it can't be reversed because of new screw holes.
But, I really like the Morris style Pete Townsend reissue though - that's next or equivalent:

Yeah, Kevin. That's the spirit.
Personally, I prefer the Accent to the fixed "R" on a 1998. And it works well and returns to tune just fine. I'd stick to Rick strings, though. Lighter strings sound like trash and heavier put too much tension on the Accent, lowering the bar and lessening the vibrato effect.
