The Dick Van Dyke Show takeoff on A Hard Day's Night is on as I type this. I have not seen it in 30 years. What a great episode.

Don't know the name, Gerald.

Yes, Jerry, and two J-160s.

And that would be 1964? (If the DVD show started in '60.)

Anyway, shows how solid the basic A Hard Day's Night story was. It made a great TV episode.

I don't think they sang a note in that, did they? It's more about the mania and escaping it, IIRC.

I remember Chad & Jeremy singing a song called MY HOW THE TIME GOES BY and perhaps one more in the DVD episode.
i always thought of them as a second rate Peter & Gordon. I have to cringe every time their SUMMER SONG is heard.

P.S.- I just recalled the line in the above song, 'But dontcha know that it hurts me so' where the harmonies are a train wreck and they left it in!

Yes. The plot revolves around them staying at the Petry's house because they were appearing on the Allen Brady Show.

>>i always thought of them as a second rate Peter & Gordon.<<

Or the American version of the Rutles.
