Im curious what you might take for the refin MG 4003S/5 Jeff ;-) I kinda miss the 3 I had.

Greg ... good to hear from you ...

that is the best 4003s5 of all the ones I owned ... the oil finish brings out the mid growl ... the neck is wonderful ... if I get in dire straits then I may sell that one ... for like $1800 or more ... also I widened the string spacing to 2 1/4" at the bridge ... when I run just the neck and the jazz pickup together is sounds kind of like a 4005 ... and the body is slightly more contoured than the stock 4003s5 bass ... but I am looking at 4 possibilities for full time work and 2 or 3 contract work ... so I should be employed again shortly ... but I had too many basses ...

I sold 4 basses ... maybe a 5th soon ... I will move a few more ... I am still working on getting below 10 ... the problem is I keep building more ...
