Just labeling his pics....not a bad idea and would flag it as a hijacked auction once someone from China or India steals the listing.....and you know they will.

Brian, I hope you get it buddy. We'll start having Wal-Fests..LOL

FWIW it is a fairly recent build, about 2002....and the case is correct and original IMO.

Well, I'm not holding my breath.....I'll bet it goes for quite a bit more so I'll have to see how it goes.

It's too bad because if I wasn't interested in the Wal, I'd certainly be going after this....

BTW....John, thanks for the info. I just started becoming interested in the Wal basses so I'm not quite up to speed on 'em yet. I've been frantically researching since I saw this Ebay sale and was feeling pretty at ease already but your obsevations ease my anxiety somewhat. I take it you have one....if so, post pics/info please. Maybe we can set up a table for two and have a "confluence-in-a-confluence" at the next Mid-Atlantic RickFest!

Here y'are Brian...mine is a 24-fret model(Mk II), made in 1994. Give 'Power Windows' by Rush a listen, and you'll hear what it sounds like. It now has gold hardware too...

The guy I got it from plays like Ronn Roberts, upside down with a right-hand stringing. The pic was taken when he still owned it.

The silly name thing is a great idea. I didnt catch the concept at first.

Super idea actually,,,especially if you have a real high dollar item to sell.

Combine that with my ever-so-brilliant-name-on-a-piece-of-paper-next-to-a-Ric-pic buying method of proof and all bas(s)es are covered.Image

I "played" John's Wal when I first met him at his gig the night we got in for MARF. I wish it were strung as in the pic he just showed; I could have actually played it then! I almost bought a Wal back in '00 from The Bass Place in Tempe, instead I got my first Rick Turner.
