Yes, that didn't help George's situation, Dane.

I guess the Harrison Burns longevity thing can be indicative of the difference between ciggie and cigar enthusiasts.

Could be...or just the difference between physiologies. My dad was a four-pack-a-day straight Camel smoker from the age of thirteen. After his death at 48 of a brain tumor caused by exposure to Agent Orange, the autopsy found his lungs to be completely clean.

Then again, dude who played 'Grampa' on The Waltons was a lifelong dopesmoker, so there ya go...

Diet too, I believe.
The Japanese are on average, heavier smokers than Americans, yet their cancer rates are far far less than ours. Green tea?

Green tea is the answer I believe. How did we get here anyway? Thread drift or what?

Oh, I don't know, Brian...I think it's reasonable for any discussion of Jimmy Page to get around to issues of health.

Not to mention posture...and violin bows...

Hmmm...well, we're also getting into genes. Keith Richards of course looks 30 years older than he is, thanks to smokes. But they haven't laid him out yet.

The Japanese....well, they eat a lot more seafood, and until recently far less red meat.

Also, our portions have been out of control for decades, including 30-oz. soft drinks, and we spend a lot more time sitting behind the wheel than walking.

I sure hope there is a big upsurge of E85 fuel and the food industry abandons high fructose corn syrup because the corn is going to make the ethanol.

I'm sure Exxon-Mobile is buying up American farmland as we speak.

I hope they turn out to better at crop rotation than they are at ecological disaster remediation...

If so, they're going to have to outbid all the sprawl spawning developers out there.

Pity the stubborn developer who stands in Big Oil's way.

Which would you rather have move in next door: an oil rig or 10,000 ****** beige houses that were put together with a staple gun?

...sort of like a choice between a paper cut and a herpe...

With cheap windows and not more than five feet between each house.
