660/12 VS 360/12

Once again I am asking for help in determining which Rickenbacker 12 string to purchase. Initially I was wavering between the 360/12 and the 370/12. After some posts I decided that the three pickup model was not necessary so I went on the hunt for a 360/12. Now after reading LOTS of reviews I have read the neck on the 660/12 is wider and much easier to play. Not to mention that it comes stock with the 12 saddle bridge and the more preferable toaster pickups. But it is a solid body and not semi-hollow like the 360/12. My question is how much does that affect the sound?? Are the 360/12 and 660/12 two different sounding guitars... assuming that there are toaster pickups in both?? Help!

I own both, Mitch, and the sound is negligible, IMO. Ears differ, and others may say that the semi might give you more of the 'jingle-jangle' resonance.
You also might get more responses on your post if it were under the Rickenbacker Guitar threads.
BTW, welcome to the forum.

**Added note: To me the 360 semi was what is was all about, and if I had to pick between mine, I'd keep my 360, but I've got small, skinny fingers.

Let me ask this a different way. Will the 660/12 do the Byrds/Beatles thing as well as (or real close to) the 360/12?

About as close as you can get. I use a Jangle Box to enhance the Byrds sound, and I've used it on both models to great effectiveness.
Mitch, it's really all going to boil down to which guitar you're going to be the most comfortable with and the one you prefer. Best scenario, if possible, is to try and play both. Make your decision from there.

Stan, I wish I could A/B both guitars but nobody within a hundred miles of here has them. Therefore I am buying based on research. Thanks for the information...
