Silverface Princeton Reverb
I have been wanting to buy a Princeton Reverb and I finally found one for a reasonable price.Of course I would rather have a BFPR but I don't think I could find one for the same price as this ($487)This one was made in 1978 and has the pull/boost that purists hate but it is all original(even the Fender tubes)original owner is an accoustic player who only played it occasionally at home.Do you think this amp will be too loud to use as a "bedroom amp" I just wanted an small amp with good reverb and trem so I hope this will work for me.

Mitch: Look for this nice post to appear under Charlie's Tube Tech Forum, in case it should appear to go missing.
Life, as with music, often requires one to let go of the melody and listen to the rhythm

Not at all. It is good here but perhaps better in the tech forum.

Mitch: I forget, but it doesn't matter. Just guess, you can't hurt anything. If you push the vibrato switch and you get the reverb, then just reverse them.
Also, I love how they use the term vibrato when actually the amplifier has a tremolo.

I recently aquired a BFPR head only, and had a cabinet made for it ( I used a Weber 15"). It's a great amp, bedroom or club. You can't beat the Fender reverb and vibrato. It's all the amp I need - I only wish I would have realized it 20 or even 10 years ago when they could be had for a song!
Good catch. There is also a mod to repurpose that pull boost switch (which sounds awful, IMO) Check the FDP foruum for all the advice you could ever need on these.

Thanks guys! The shielded cable goes to the Reverb and the white to the Tremolo(I was on confused when I saw Vib on the FS).The sound of this amp is really incredible.I'm so glad I got it.I'd love to hear your BF Princeton Jim.What is the difference between the BF and the SF? The BF combos sell for 3 times as much as the SF.
