Um. Nice one, Tony. Very nice. But personally, i'd prefer something that looks more - ehm - sane, please.

Funny, Eric had mentioned mixing up all the colors....I thought it was a logical choice! Image

Sheena: I've been called MANY things in my day...SANE was NEVER one of them!

Brian & Stan: That's it! Psychoglo or Oil Spillglo!

Eric, see what happens when you paint without a mask? Remember the old TV commercial? ".......this is your brain on drugs"!
I think the guys over a Spector are getting too many paint fumes on the brain....

While I have throughly enjoyed all the speculation on the 75th anniversary guitars has anyone found anyone accepting orders yet and at what price. While Ricks have been always reasonabley priced the combined higher retail price plus the no discounting from dealers give me a little sticker shock. I realize Fender celebrates a new anniversary every 6 months or so and this is an actual special event I am having a little trouble wrapping my brain around paying over $2,000 for a 360. Again no critism of Rick but a little of a downer.

Marc,

IIRC RIC does not establish dealer prices. Apart from the increase in price because it is a 75th model that costs a little more to make. it would be the dealers who are making the additional few dollars more on each instrument.

Considering their potential value down the road the prices are very reasonable IMO.

I should have made my post more clear. I assumed that the extra dollars were going to the dealers not Rick. It is just that prior to the actual announcement I had added the increase that JH had mentioned to the usually discounted price, not anticipating the dealers selling for full price.

Even so Marc, consider prices established for anniversary models from other manufacturers. At least RIC has made theirs very affordable. I and many others I suspect, just wish that there were more of each model available.

I agree with you there and again this was not meant as a critism of Rick, just a little surprised at the dealers. Still think it looks like a cool guitar.

No ones mentioned the case for these. Is it just the SKB type ? Or for the cash can we assume its the Vintage style, or maybe something completely different?

How about a dark cherry vintage case?
