I have to say, Jeff, that I saw a fellow on the mezzanine who looked a bit like Lemmy -- pony tail, hat, etc., but if this is the fellow you're talking about, he wasn't Lemmy. Missing were the characteristic warts that would have to be the best field identification mark.

Unless Lemmy had them removed . . . .

I'd love to see it, Eric. I always like remembering I'm #1. Maybe email a copy to a grateful J Dog?

I saw Lemmy upstairs in the Foundation room during the intermission. Becky and I went up there and found a couch to sit on for a few minutes. It was pretty cool. The room wasn't crowded at all. A couple of the girls from Marty Wilson-Piper's band were up there. Chris Squire was pacing back and forth talking loudly on his cell phone, trying to find a place where he could get good reception.

Lemmy came in alone and ordered a drink at the bar. He was wearing his trademark boots and hat. On his way out of the room, something caught his eye and he walked right up to Becky and I and then stopped about 2 feet in front of us. He was looking over me, so I turned around to see what he was looking at. It was the RIC slideshow being played in front of the stage downstairs, beamed in on the HOB video monitors. One of the 4 images being shown was of Lemmy holding one of his signature edition basses. I looked back at him, smiled and said: "Hey, that's you!" He smiled and said: "Yep, that's me!" Then he left the room. About 30 seconds later the Smithereens burst into the room fresh off of their (scorching) set. A very cool moment for me.

When I saw him I immediately thought about trying to get an autograph for Brian Crisman, but I'm not much of an autograph person and was totally unprepared. I had no pen and nothing to sign. I figured he'd make his way downstairs, possibly have a special guest appearance and somebody else would get an autograph. I guess that didn't happen. Oops. Sorry Brian!

John Williams and I saw one of Carl Wilson's sons there, Noah? I think that's his name...Justin is the other son, IIRC..

Thanks for the thought Jeff! It's no big deal, I'm not too concerned with autographs myself. If there was a limited Lemmy/Ric poster that would be a different story.

Justyn Wilson was there. He had a full beard and looked a lot like his dad. I talked to him for a bit and found out he has a band called In Bloom.

Okay, cool...it was Justin then. John and I didn't get a chance to talk to him, but we knew it was one of Carl's sons.
