Seeking input for the next Mid-Atlantic FEST...

Post by leftybass »

I had the chance to speak with some of you in California about the next MARF. We'd like to have as many of you as possible.

One thing we are taking into consideration is the investment that many made to make the trip to Santa Ana, so I'm thinking it would be best to let everyone 'recover' for a while so that a trip wouldn't be so much a financial burdon for everyone personally.

I know many have posted off and on inquiring about what is happening, and now the wheels are starting to turn a little.

So--Don and myself would like to hear some feedback on attendance and what works best for the time of year, etc....the location is pretty much set, it will be in the Philadelphia area.

Let's hear your thoughts, and thanks.

I'm in. I would like to avoid the likelihood of a blizzard.....other than that I'm pretty flexible.

Circumstances kept me from the 75th and Milwaukee so I'm aching for another Confluence! Image

Same here, just, as with Brian, I'd like to avoid driving across Pa. in the winter.

I'm in again. I believe last year's was around 11/5. If you want to beat the chance of snow in the area, eliminate the period from mid-December to the end of February. I would think that November or March would be best.

Good to hear from you Dave. We'd love to have you again for sure. Last year we got lucky, it was about 75-80F the day of the Fest. Nice for November in Virginia!

I'd very much like to try and make it. Spring would be better for me than late Fall, but I'd still try to get there.

I'm in! I could wake up and be there in half-an-hour!

Early November would be a great time...that's normally before any snow arrives.

If there is a good crowd expected and some things planned, I would consider a trip from FL. Preferably WITH snow, since I've never seen it except in the movies and on TV.
