My turn.

Post by kennyhowes »

As I recuperate from my weekend of schlep - for the second night in a row - I wanted to take a second and say thanks to everyone for coming to The Big Ric Weekend.

Both the confluence and the HOB gig felt like reunions to me - I knew some folks and met new ones - and the new ones were all people I'd heard about for years, but never had the pleasure.

In the case of the confluence, I'd already broken bread with the likes of John Williams, Chris Clayton, Gary Clauson, Nick Thiel etc., but was able to finally put a variety of faces (and accents!) together with other names.

Same thing at the concert - I told several people that it was like a class reunion of my record collection! (Surreal moments include introducing these people to each other at random, i.e. "Marty (W.P.), I'd like you to meet Matthew Sweet," and so on.)

And thanks very much too for the kind words about both Hautewerk and The PopDudes (my Friday night band) - I certainly appreciate it and I know all the guys do too.

Hopefully I can get out on the road again one of these days and come see you all in your hometowns too.

Hope to see you all again soon.

They just don't make dudes any more major than you Kenny. You wore a lot of hats this past weekend, my friend. I'm in awe.

Kenny, JWilli and I listened to the Hautewerk CD a good bit while we out in that Shelby...did you use your O.S. 12-string on some tracks?

That last one is a great shot, and in my totally unbiased opinion, illustrates a lot of what makes RIC a great company, and a great place to work..

Thanks guys.

You'll have to ask Kenny about that Alisha. Looks like a "rock out" type face to me.

Thanks for all your hard work, Kenny. We really had a lot of fun. It was nice to finally meet you. And we enjoyed both of your performances.

Tell Allison she rocks, too! That was awfully cool of her to bring refreshments to the patio and on the bus to HOB.
