According to Mike Parks site 9/1 is when he knows his allocation on the 75th anniversary model.

With all of the dealers and distributors,,,how many could it be really ?? How do you actually deal with 300 total units ?

The Lemmy was 60 units...Mike Parks must have sold 8-10 of them. I wasn't into it at the time, but I think it was a different story then, meaning everybody was jumping to order.

These should be sold out(at least the basses)upon allocation.

According to Mike he's not going to have any overwelming amount of them available . So place your orders folks a.s.a.p.

How long do you think it will take the dealers to know if they're definately getting one or not?

Will Ric tell them Friday when all 75 are gone, or will they take orders and after they shipped 75 (could be a year from what I have heard from 2 dealers now), they'll let the dealers know that no more will be shipped, and cancel all orders?

I would hope for the former, since I put a deposit down on a 4003 today. I'd hope to get that back right away if my guy can't get one. I'd love to know for sure by next week. Seem reasonable?

That seems very reasonable. I would hate to have my deposit hung up for a year just to find out they all have been sold.

I believe JH mentioned that he expects all 300 of the anniversary models to sell out within four hours of their order desk accepting orders for them (when ever that is).

I've got to believe that JH has a formula or allotment plan for distributing them worldwide.

No ones mentioned the case for these. Is it just the SKB type ? Or for the cash can we assume its the Vintage style, or maybe something completely different?

My dealer (Classic Axe)is going to find out tomorrow as well. I agree with Jon that RIC has a plan to distribute these. I just hope Ed Roman doesn't get 30 of them!

Ron, I highly doubt that JH would let Ed Roman buy 30 of them. He wants to distribute them fairly to all North American dealers as well as too off shore dealers.

Hopefully, we'll find out shortly.

The great interest in the 75th anniversary models is a good example of the soaring popularity of Rickenbacker instruments in the past 5 years. If the 4004LK was introduced today, it would be immediately sold out. But when it was announced at NAMM back in 2000 (or was it 2001?), I sat on the fence for a few weeks before finally calling a dealer to place an order. Amazingly enough, there was still an opportunity to order one!
