I got my name on Northcoast's list as soon as I found out that there would be a special edition. I didn't care what the finish or options would be, so I didn't want to wait to find out. My name was first on his list, and my order was confirmed today. Gary indicated that he was limited to two of each type also. No info on when the anniversary instruments will be made, but I can wait.

Has anyone determined whether these are actually built yet, or is it going to be a year (or more) wait?

JH posted in the general forum:

"The reason for no lefties and no 12-stringers was specifically so these could be completed this year. The models were also carefully selected so they could "tag along" with regular production.

What would be the point of having a 75th anniversary model delivered in the 76th year?"

"I guess Sam Ash is getting the same scenario as with other dealers. I just ordered the second one from Sam Ash from one store.
Total cost: $1599 with no tax and shipping! WOOHOO!!!! I'm a happy camper!!"

Good going Ed! Helps you had a bit of extra cash around from selling me your 4005 I bet which, incidentally, is the only reason I have not be calling around trying to line one up.

Still loving the 4005!

According to my local Sam Ash, all the basses have been spoken for.

Good day's work for Ric. Congrats guys! I didn't think all of the guitars would be gone in a day.
