Spoke to soon. I'm out. Turns out the dealer thought there was an order placed, when in fact there was not.

I agree. I'll believe it when it shows up at my dealer.

Wow! Sounds like most of the 75's will be living here.

I've attempted to order a 4003 through the local dealer, so far status is unknown.

Good luck all!

When they taking deposits for the 100th? (ducking & running)
I'm just happy to be here.

*wipes sweat off forehead* Me too! Image

Once again, a big thank you to Kenny Howes, to point me to what might have been the last dealer to get one!

Edgar, how long ago was it that you first placed your order at POTR's?
I got a message left on my machine from Chris today. I called him when I got home but got his voice mail. I hope it's not bad news.
Buy it before someone else does.

I decided not to celebrate the 75th this time around, but don't feel bad for me, I'll be celebrating the 33rd anniversary of this.Image

Well, ya know, I didn't want to feel left out so....here's another one!Image
In reference to price- I paid $1799 for this one back in 2004, I think it's a pretty good value when you compare it to the 75th's price.

I'm out, too. Image

I was hoping to get a 660.

For my 50th birthday present to myself.

Jeffrey, keep your name in at a few dealers, in case someone decides to back out of buying one. It does happen, maybe you'll get lucky.

Well happy half century Jeffrey, I'll be 47 in Nov. I think there'll be plenty of nice ricks at your b-day party so keep your chin up young man.Image
At least you got to go to the 75th party, that would have been good enough for me.

I'm in...but just barely. Thought of a local dealer on the way home from work that might have some of these on order, then jumped when he said he still had a 4003 to reserve.

Still, I'll believe it when I see it. I've had other Rickenbackers on order that never materialized: a 4004LK and a 4004Cii5MB. We'll see.
