Blah. Figures. I've said to myself "The next bass you're getting will be black cherry." This is close enough. Too bad I'm always poor!

I dubbed it Merlotglo. Close 'nuff guess for me.

Interesting. When I picked up that bass at the factory on Sunday, it looked opaque. But Richard's headstock photo shows that the walnut wings are visible through the paint! So what we really have here is a sort of pearlescent Burgundyglo.

The latest plan is to pick out the "Rickenbacker" script on the TRC in chrome silver against a gold background. Many fans thought the gold-on-gold was too subtle, and I had to agree. I got John Hall's agreement on this mod, so the 75th TRCs will look more like the TRC on the Kantner acoustic I put together...

It sounds like the revised TRC is going to be incredible looking. I too, thought the one on the 4003 looked a bit rough and unrefined.

Andy, when Saturday afternoon came, I think it was Gary that I turned to and said: "Hey where is Andy O' Connor!?"

I hope we do have a glass of Chianti together someday. Image

...and for those of you who aren't into wine, Boylan's Black Cherry Sodaglo comes to mind.

Is there a pic of the Kantner acoustic TRC somewhere?

Paul W., that is EXCELLENT! I'm glad you were able to hold sway on the silver/gold TRC. Much better looking.

For those of you who may not know, Paul W. is doing the pickguards and TRCs for the series. Was the 75th logo your design, Paul? Me likey!
