Well, since I missed out on the Anniversary Basses, and have been jonesing for a 5 with more balls and bottom end than my Jazz bass has, I took the plunge into G&L land....and it's a Blueburst! 5-string with a nice slim neck.

I had one of those when I was experimenting with 5 strings and they are one of the nicest fivers out there for the price, huge sound and low end. Mine was American made and was good quality, I sold it when I decided to start collecting ricks.

I'll definitely keep that in mind, Chris! And after playing the Jazz 5, it will be nice to have to CUT bass instead of tweaking everything I use to PRODUCE low end!
