Andrew, that bass is truly wonderful. As are the Blueboys, certainly one of my all time favourite Ric finishes.

BTW, those white w/BT are how its supposed to look! (sorry, not keen on Snotglo...)

Yes I did, I must say I was quite tempted. I never liked white Ricks till about six months ago, now I'm quite a fan.

Beautiful bass, I wonder if that's the same Mr. Big that Billy Sheehan belonged to, he's been known to play Rics also I think. In fact I remember a Joe Satriani video with (I think) Billy Sheehan playing an all white Ric stereo with a double SVT set up. It was longer than 5 years ago though..... I doubt he needs the money though.

It looks like they painted right over the binding.

Well, you can't see the line, but the pictures are not real clear either.

Looking at my own blue boy, I reckon I may have to put something - maybe some plain white paper - under the pickguard, just to hide the routing, as it's quite clearly visible, as the plate isn't that thick. It shows up on the white ones with white plates too.

"... maybe some plain white paper"

The pros spray paint the underside if the pickguard is too transparent. But be careful not to spray too much, when it's completely opaque it looks kinda cheap.
