Magic
I just got back from, most likely, the last 'event' of the Confluence. Dinner at the Claim Jumper's. One sentiment that was echoed repeatedly was that this was definitely a once-in-a-lifetime event. For all of us.
Ric made all of us an integral part of their 75th Anniversary celebration. They opened their doors to us - literally. They made us an integral part of their 75th celebration. As a company, they were under no obligation or expectation to host such an event as they did. I can hardly imagine another big name guitar manufacturer doing such an event.
To those of us fortunate enough to attend, the Confluence definitely took the feel of an extended family with members from all over the globe. At dinner tonite, there were some misty eyes and it's easy to see why. We've all shared something that, I'm sure, none of us expected to experience. This is the stuff of our dreams growing up being music fans and fans of Ric instruments and artists.
I hope to see many of the members in the near future. I'm fortunate to live in the area, and I feel blessed to have met the attendees from around the globe.
With this in mind, I wish to thank the Rickenbacker International Corporation for a weekend that, I think, can only be described as - magic.

Scott,
You put it perfectly...it was magic. I'm still trying to figure out a way to explain what it was like to someone who wasn't there. I have a feeling I'll never be able to do it justice. But for those of us who were there, it will only take a word or two to bring alive vivid recollections of what we all experienced. Thank you everyone at RIC, John, Cindalee, Ben, Ariel, Kenny, Alison; you guys were absolutely phenomenal!

Tonight was a nice "tag" to the whole shebang. It is not something that can be explained. We first have the loyalty of the "owners". Then, the integrity/passion of RIC and all those involved. I don't think any set of owners/mfgs could come close to approaching what we witnessed! Other companies would drool over the loyalty of RIC's customers. And other "customers would drool over what RIC did for us this weekend! As I get further away from the event, the more emotional I become. I guess for some of us, it takes a while to sink in!!!!!! D'oh!

Yes, a nice finish to a great weekend. You won't find all of this kind of feeling from any other forum nor will you find another guitar company allowing the people so passionate about their instruments, to become such an integral part of their special anniversary.
JETGLO should officially be renamed JETGLO ROCKS!

Scott, Gary, Charly, Joey, Alison, Kenny....I just stumbled across this thread...don't know how I missed it before.
Thanks for taking care of me on my last night in Santa Ana (for a while, anyway). I'll post a photo of our group as soon as I get home.
