I have this and several other '64/'65 shows on nice audio cd's if anyone's interested. You can PM me, send me a CD and I'll burn some for you.

I don't believe there is a PM function here. I think e-mail must be used.

I'm interested. I'd love to retire my old Trade Mark Of Quality blue-vinyl pressing of this show.

Anyone interested can e-mail me at [email protected].

I also have a fairly large Abbey Road, live concert and solo library of rarities - the John Barret tapes, Decca Auditions, Dr. Ebbets versions of UK releases, tons of demos.

Just e-mail me for a list.

Oh yes, btw, please - no one interpret this as a "for sale" on any of these items. THey are to be freely traded period. I did not mean to appear untoward with the large list.

Thanks.

That's very kind, Michael.

I can't remember if he commented on it when he ran down the list of Beatles songs many years later, but clearly, at the time, You Can't Do That was one of Lennon's faves.

They didn't do it, though, or it didn't make, the Hollywood Bowl Album, did it?

They did do it at Hollywood Bowl in 1964, but was left off the released album. I have a stereo copy of the song that I'll send you, Glenn. It possibly exists in slightly better quality, but the version I have is pretty good.

Thanks, Kris. I was aware that at one of the shows they did If I Fell, but they either screwed it up or there's a glitch in the recording. Anyway, that's too bad, eh? Even if they were doing it at three times the studio pace.

Glenn, you have more mail. The copy I have of "If I Fell" is glitch free.

Glenn also asked about the solo on "You Can't Do That". And he is right - John plays the solo on his 325 while George picks the signature lick on his 360/12. And you can see it here (complete with glitch):

Scott!! What's happening? Good to see you around these parts. You're right - I have been remiss in my sharing of the muse. I actually have about 10 Rush shows burned for you and sitting here since we last talked. Just laziness and some traveling a bit. Plus there's one or two more I felt were MUST have's so....

I'll e-mail you and we can catch up a bit, + I can avail of lots of new goodies. Pretty sure I have your R30 show. Good audience recording too.

when the beatles were in australia, george said at a press conference that you cant do that was his favourite at the time, they also played it at every show in OZ, but if you look at the video version, when it comes to the solo, they focus on george who is doing the backing vocals with paul. Has anyone got any footage of john doing the solo live?

The Melbourne Australia 1964 concert version of YCDT is probably one of the best i've seen(both audio and video),live, of this track!
Anyone know of a crystal clear dvd of shea stadium concert, all the ones we get downunder are poor quality, whereas on the Anthology dvd,the clips from the same concert are top quality.
