#8500 ???!!!???
What a place! There's always something to read and something to say, at least for this Forumite with diarrhea of the keyboard...
I once thought I'd be posting #10,000 from the RIC75 celebration...(well, it was an intriguing idea, anyway...). Then I got so danged busy with resto work that my posts declined for awhile...
Thanks to Peter for his selfless devotion to all things Rickenbacker.
Thanks to John Hall for heading up the company that builds the most incredibly inspiring guitars and basses on the planet.
Thanks to all the Forumites who've chided, goaded, inspired, and tolerated me these past 20 months. What a short, strange and wonderful ride it's been!
This week is also the one-year anniversary of Reflections of a Curmudgeon. Thanks go to all who've contributed to its success. Keep those e-mails coming, boys and girls.

8500! Remarkable. We are fortunate to have you on the Forum Paul. I would never have imagined finishing school to be so much fun.
Life, as with music, often requires one to let go of the melody and listen to the rhythm

When in April you posted 7500 Paul, I thought for sure you'd have 10,000 by the time of the 75th. Still 8500 is still a pretty mean feat for early September!!
Like many others I enjoy reading your advice, comments, and admiring the pics of your handy work. (Speaking of which, are there some nice pics of a certain Capri being posted soon?)

Life wasn't meant to be easy
If it was only your prodigious talent and the glorious work you produce, that would be one thing. But your clever and and lucid writing style are what really make you such an entertaining and respected resource. Many thanks for all the tutorials, suggestions, advice and general wisdom. Boy, the year of the Curmudgeon has flown!

8500? 8500?!?!?! Wow. Cool. Especially given many of those were quite long and very informative (and you don't have a secretary who types it in for you, do you?! Kiddin').
Keep 'em coming. And some are still waiting for an instruction on Walnut finishes.
Congratulations.

Nothing will get you dead quicker than being deadly serious about yourself.
Paul, congratulations on 8,500 plus posts. And to think that I've been on this forum since the beginning and have only reached 564 posts.
I've always enjoyed your wit, your tips, and your pictures. Seeing your handiwork in person as well as meeting you and the family in Santa Ana was a real treat. You are one class act.
BTW, just let me know when your ready to start that "lefty" project.

Well done Paul. I really wish I could have been in Santa Ana last week to meet you and everyone at the bash. Happy 8500!
Also a happy first birthday for Reflections, providing breathtaking and "kid in a candy store" moments for us all as well! I always feel like a kid at Christmas opening up your photo essays and look forward very much to the technical and design advice. A thousand thank you's from me for those treasured moments.
And the Capri is a 100% knockout.
