John and Alisha, tonight was the first time I had access to a computer with sound. What an awesome effort! Ten times better than anything from They Might Be Giants. I laughed and laughed and laughed Image

Jason, it just proves that we are capable of doing anything we put our minds to.

Jason and Alisha! That was soooo cool! Great idea and great implementation. It sums it all up in a great little ditty.

Jason - if we'd all only been that quick that evening!

John B. - I hear a break in the middle with an easy Rick twangy lead in it....

Not so, Aitch. For authenticity, I stuck to the rules of the game. Whenever I screwed up a take, I took a drink. Really. Eventually I had to record each verse separately or I wasn't ever going to get it right.

It was a close call, Jeff. And it wasn't because of Maryanne's driving, it was because I'm a lightweight! Image

I think I was in my own private hell for around two hours after we got there. I didn't really snap out of it until the fish tacos.

Mmmmmmmmm......fish tacos from the Sawdust Festival!

I love fish tacos......so much that I think I'll start a fish taco thread.....just kidding. I'll start a fish taco forum!!! And then world domination via the fish taco shall be ours....okay, that was all nuts. Sorry.

Jason and Alisha,

yeah, that song rocks. I listen to it repeatedly as well. I think I hear a voice that sounds like Graham in the very end when the music stops. The accent is there...maybe you did it. Instead of bottles I hear bah-ools. Image Ha! Thanks for that song and I'll look out for the virtual band thread.

FYI: My band, The Madams, will be playing this Saturday, November 17th in Costa Mesa, CA @ eVocal. Message me for more details or go to our myspace page....THANKS!!

Thanks Alison! I did my best to mimic the accents. I made sure to include a "bah-ools" and a "********!" for Graham.

To answer an earlier query, I'm afraid the high voice you hear is actually me. A strategically placed pair of vice grips allows me to hit those notes. (I put them on my toes. Where did you think I put them? You sickos!)

The virtual band thread is under the main topic "Rampant Recording Techniques" and is called "Auditions: virtual band." We would love to have you on board. Since I have your CD, Alison, you don't need to send me anything. Just an email will do.

Jason and Alisha - that was great! Now it is stuck in my head, and I like it. Sounds like a great game too. I'll have to remember it next time I'm...ah...in a similar situation...you know, where bottles are all around...and a group of friends...and I'm late to the party...and...uh need to catch up! Now where's my opener?
