At last - I got my 4004

Thanks very much for all your advice guys. The job is now almost done. I used 1500 grit sand paper followed by the scotchbrite pads. The finish is now absolutely clean and as smooth as a baby's bottom! I've already applied a few coats of tung oil (which takes days to soak in), and after every coat the finish looks better and better.
Oh, and of course, the sound is different to my 4001 but I'm getting used to it!
