John, I think the reason I don't look happy is because I was playing "Centerfold" or some other miserable song.

Alex, IMO it sounds like Rickenbacker's take on a Hofner. The neck pickup is incredible sounding.

HA HA! Yeah, Alex - if only owning one of these things and looking like Geddy Lee made me play great, then I'd really have it made!

John - I have to laugh at the pencil stuck over your ear. It looks like you're sneaking in a quick set between exams. Nice touch!

John had that pencil in his ear throughout the 75th confluence. It must be permanently affixed! Image
Nice bass indeed.

John, great lookin bass... we have all been there in cover band land. Pays the bills sometimes thou.

Mark, your tunes from the thread "Rickenbacker Artist>Let's hear your stuff" nice.

Unless I missed something, John you should pop something up there. I would like to give it spin.

Now why would you say a thing like that, young Jedi? Image

"If it ain't broke..." and all that jive. The pickups are pretty powerful and are just what I need right now. I think the toasters would give me better clarity, but I feel like i'd lose a bit of bottom at the same time. What do you think, Jeff?

That WB is stunning. It's too bad you couldn't bring it to the Confluence so we could all get our grubby mitts on it.

Every time I met someone at the Confluence, it went the same way:

"John right? Hey! Did you bring it?"

If I had to do it again, i'd have found a way and I would have brought it. Live and learn.

You won't lose any bottom end, just overall gain, which is easy to make up with a tweak of the amp's volume control.

Cole, I am really digging it. I have not used it live yet, studio only, but it does exactly what I wanted and more! Thanks again. How's the guitar one working out?

It's doing just fine. You can really get some great bass tones out of the guitar version. Couldn't be more happy with a piece of music gear. Like I was saying on the offical RIC forum, I wish Line 6 would make a more 'retro' looking package for the PODs. I really like the looks of the Vox Tonelab.

I love my Bass POD. Had they made it look like a Medieval Gargoyle, I'd still love it. Image
What do you mean the Bass is too loud???
