Don't know what the show is...but congrats all the same Jared!
'Rickenbacker'...what a name! After all these years, it still thrills me.

Many happy returns, unlike the people on the show, whose return is less than "happy!"

Congrats, Jared!!!

Is that stereo receiver more than just a receiver, Jeff?

My brother used to have one of those Marantz 4400 quadraphonic receivers; note the oscilloscope on it. I believe this is a Superscope era unit. I met Saul Marantz once, at the first Stereophile Hi-Fi Show in Santa Monica in '86 or '87, something like that.

What's the purpose of a scope on a receiver? I've never seen one before on a stereo.

It is a visual way of seeing how the soundfield is being presented to the speakers, along with other aids, primarily for the tuner.

As for the tuner, it would show multipath - helped you point the antenna to reduce reflections. My Nikko tuner had scope outputs for just that.
