The finish is really hard to capture with a camera, in those pictures it almost looks like a Spector Holoflash finish with the wood grain.

pretty much almost any 5 string bass will have a narrower neck than the 5 string Fender jazz ... that G&L looks like a cool bass ...

Very nice, Steve. I'm sure that G&L bass has a much better B string than a Fender Jazz Bass. I've yet to try a Fender 5er that I thought the B string was decent.
JETGLO should officially be renamed JETGLO ROCKS! :-)

The more I play with it, the more impressed I am by it. I can get so many tones, it is amazing. I roll back the bridge pickup about 30% and it is a nice Rick-ish tone, sounded great playing La Villa Strangiato and The Trees. The B string on it is very musical, it actually sounds like a note instead of a "thump".

Is there any way for those of us who haven't heard what it sounds like to have a listen of one, or maybe this one?

Actually, there IS!
Go to this site: http://www.glguitars.com and then click on "audio clips", and then the L-2500 section, there are about 20 different clips in there. Unfortunately, most of them are "funk".
I can see if I can record a little clip playing thru my rig with my settings.

Sounds alright. Would've been nice to have had something that doesn't come under the genre of funk.

I'll see if I can record something more "rock" this weekend.

Pablo, VERY sweet. Image I'm sure it sounds a lot like my L-2500 without the B string.
