The Colvin Worldwide Artist Management Group (CWAMG) is proud to announce the worldwide RickResource Forum release of their newly signed artist:
The Intercontinental Bishop-Medway Band (ICBM).
The release is entitled "Nothing Ain't Real". It was composed by Brian Medway in honor of Strawberry Field and poses a question or two about the children who have matured into adulthood but no longer have a direct link to the orphanage where they grew up. Strawberry Field was in fact a Salvation Army orphanage in Woolton, England. It was founded in 1936. It closed its doors as a children's home in early January, 2005 The name of the orphanage became world famous in 1967, with the release of The Beatles single "Strawberry Fields Forever", written by John Lennon. Lennon grew up near the orphanage and besides attending annual fetes with his aunt Mimi he used to play in the wooded area behind the building with his childhood friends.
The song "Nothing Ain't Real" was recently recorded during a grueling two day marathon in the rather cramped studios belonging to the lead guitarist for ICBM, who in a matter of fact fashion pointed out that the facilities were actually more modern than those where the band, The Beatles recorded at Abbey Road Studios. The song is recorded with that legendary band in mind and provides a tip of the hat to the writers, producers, engineers, the Beatles themselves, the guest musicians and the hangers on at those sessions.
ICBM had to do without a key ingredient in the mix however. Yoko was not available for the final mix and the producers had to forge on with the final edits without her most valuable input. (TG)
