I found it really hard to photograph this color on my 1996--even with a fairly good camera, the pix almost all come out to harsh and the fade to amber too sharp. The actual fade on my guitar is very subtle. The color is a bit more orange in tint than the earlier NAMM pic, but I suspect the good folks up at the Zoo had the same challenge photographing this color.

I would really appreciate your description of the AFG once you've seen it at the Zoo. I would be especially interested in knowing if you see a discernable difference between the AFG 660 and the 1996 they have.
My 1996 has a very warm glow to it. It also has an orangey tint. But not only is the coloring nice, but the shading itself is very cool, particularly on the sides of the guitar.
You know what I never noticed before. The 660 (and I guess some other models) have full width inlays. I thought RIC stopped doing that. (The 360 doesn't have 'em.) Is that because the 660 is a "vintage reissue" model? Thanks!
I think JH once ventured a guess that AFG will eventually become quite dark at the edges, almost a blood red or black cherry. Can't find the post, so I could be wrong.
